Can i still track down my ipod using Mobileme even if its not turned on?

My ipod was stolen recently and i did not have the find my ipod option on when it was stolen, so i was hope that if i can still track it down using Mobileme if i download the paid version on my computer, or maybe i can do it from itunes. you would save my life if you helped me out|||I too had my Ipod stolen recently, filthy bastards, and there is no way to track down the ipod unless the mobileme app was already installed and turned on, on the ipod prior to it being stolen, also apple won't do ANYTHING to help, they will ask if you had the MobileMe app installed and turned ON, if you didn't they tell you the always helpful answer of "oh that sucks for you" and then they hang up so that's that so don't bother calling them. If anything report it to the police and hope for the best.|||i think you need install mobileme to the ipod but not on your computer.
