My friend lost her iphone is it too late for her to buy MobileMe and use the "Find My iPhone" feature?

We have looked everywhere and she has not found it this is the only other thing we could think of .|||It's too late. You need MobileMe before you lose the phone.|||I doubt it, but call an Apple store and ask. I'm assuming you've called the number to see if someone's found it, or to see if you can hear it ringing.|||well obviously its too late! if she doesnt have it with her, how is she supposed to buy it?
