Should i buy mobileme or should i wait?

I am wondering, should i buy mobileme now or should i wait to see if it becomes free. I have heard rumors that it will become free hopefully. Apple free stuff, NO WAY!|||It's highly unlikely that MobileMe will be released as a free product. Running any service such as this, be it MobileMe, Gmail, etc, incurs massive costs which must be accounted for. Making MobileMe a free service would almost certainly require Apple to introduce advertising to support MobileMe. They wouldn't do this for a number of reasons. For example, advertising would break their trademark minimalist design. Also, most of the native OSX applications have built in MobileMe support to which advertising would not be extended.





I would go ahead and get MobileMe if you have at least two or more compatible Apple products such as a Macbook, iMac, iPhone, iPad, etc. it is *not* true that you can get all of the MobileMe services for free elsewhere. Case in point: iDisk and the "Find my iPhone" system.|||What do you want from Mobile Me that you couldn't get for free somewhere else? You can get free web hosting just about anywhere (I use freehostia.com). You can get free iCal calendars from Google. You can get free email from Google. There isn't anything that Mobile Me does that can't be done for free somewhere else.
